Tunisia Airports Hit Record 9.6 Million Passengers in 2024

Tunisia Airports Set New Passenger Record in 2024
Tunisia's airports closed 2024 on a historic high, welcoming a record 9,646,949 passengers — a 9.4% increase compared to 2023, according to figures released by the Civil Aviation and Airports Authority (OACA) in January 2025.
Tunis-Carthage Leads the Way
Tunis-Carthage International Airport remained the country's busiest hub, handling 7,249,701 passengers — up 8.8% year-on-year — and recording 79,155 aircraft movements throughout the year.
A Sign of Strong Recovery
This record comes as Tunisia's aviation sector continues its post-pandemic recovery, driven by growing international tourism, increased airline capacity, and improved connectivity with European and Middle Eastern destinations.
What This Means for Travelers
Higher passenger volumes generally lead to increased flight options and competitive fares. Tunisia is becoming an increasingly attractive hub in the Mediterranean aviation market.
