Djerba-Zarzis International Airport closed 2025 with impressive results, welcoming over 2.3 million passengers across 16,777 flights — a 6.5% rise in passenger numbers and a 2.7% increase in aircraft movements compared to 2024.
International Traffic Leads Growth
International flights were the main engine of growth, recording an 8.1% surge in passengers year-on-year. This reflects Tunisia's growing appeal as a Mediterranean destination for European travelers, particularly from France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Major Investment Incoming
The Ministry of Transport has committed significant funding to support Djerba-Zarzis Airport's continued development:
- 63.4 million dinars allocated for 2025–2026 improvements
- 14.2 million dinars planned for 2027–2030
- Projects include infrastructure modernization, digital transformation, and sustainability upgrades
